Timed to mark the end of the year, the winter solstice, this festive workshop calls us to reflect upon darkness, the descent of the sun, the return to the chthonic and we dance the mythical cycles of existence. We will spend time reflecting on our inner shadow, the collective shadow, embrace our demons. We also celebrate the circularity of existence, building upon simple circle dance structures that have existed since pagan times. The workshop allows space for sharing our own dance on the second day, in a collective celebration of creativity, death and renewal. Suitable for anyone who loves to move.

Nick Parkin is a multi-instrumentalist musician and composer and has collaborated with Marie-Gabrielle since 1994. He plays live/mixed sound in the workshop which creates a magical and ritualistic space for movement. nickparkin

Artist Yuliya Krylova will contribute some visual, ritual making activities.

Refunds are given in full if cancellation takes place 14 days prior to course start date. Cancellations of less than 14 days are non-refundable. Discount offers for early bird bookings or combined discounted payments or special arranged payment plans are non-refundable.
