We’d like to announce our Butoh Symposium, to take place in London, at Kingston University’s beautiful & award-winning Town House auditorium close to the river Thames, on 17-18 September. Please find all the information about proposing a presentation, by 5 May, and attending the symposium, on this webpage:

We warmly invite 20-minute presentations of original or innovative research on Butoh. Everyone is welcome to attend, and entrance is free. We will open eventbrite bookings in May and it’s a live, on-site event that will include many rare Butoh-film projections. The Symposium is a co-creation of the Visual Cultures Research Centre at Kingston University's School of Art faculty, in association with the Sepsis Dreamers Club. It follows on from our recent highly successful Symposium on the work of Antonin Artaud. It’s held in collaboration with Infinity Land Press, London, and Café Shy/Ko Murobushi Archive, Tokyo, and with expert internationl advisors: Hanako Takayama, Marie-Gabrielle Rotie, Richard Hawkins. We look forward very much to welcoming you to London for this unique & very special event.

Organisers: -Romina Achatz, Stephen Barber, Matt Melia

We warmly encourage you to travel to London ecologically, even if you have to steal a bicycle to do so -
